RIP Dave Jacques
Posted on 5th November 2016 at 12:16
We are sad to report the recent death of Dave Jacques, who died on 27th October after battling with cancer. Information and funeral details.
Dave Jacques was an experienced and much respected regular CRMC marshal. He had been trying to live with cancer for some time.
"He was one of the best marshals the club has ever had, and an extraordinary man. As a sector, with his wife Angela, he mentored many of our newer marshals giving them the benefit of his wisdom. He never seemed to panic, but missed nothing and always had his section of the track totally in his control. If Dave ever made a suggestion during my Clerk's briefing to marshals, I always knew that he would be right..... and I would accept his superior knowledge. He was the first person to win the CRMC 'Marshal of the Year' Trophy."
Sally Russell, CRMC Secretary and an experienced ACU Clerk of the Course
