CRMC Race Machine Eligibility 

Machines are split between classic machines and post classic machines, based on the type of engine and date of manufacture - 
Classic Bikes are post-war up to 1972 (up to 1967 for two strokes) 
Post Classic bikes are 4-strokes from 1972 to 1986 and 2-strokes from 1967 to 1986

Classic Grand Prix 

Classic Grand Prix
Thoroughbred racing machines built for Grand Prix , TT and certain Short Circuit racing. Classic 1 - 1945 to 1963 Classic 2 - 1964 to 1972 (1967 for 2-strokes) 

Classic Clubman 

Classic Clubman
Machines built for racing and of a type raced during the classic period, using engines that do not qualify for Grand Prix, together with certain machines that do not meet other GP specifications classic sports 

Classic Sports 

Classic Sports
Production road and sports motorcycles of a type used for production racing in the classic period, not having a frame and engine from different manufacturers 

Classic Sidecars 

Classic Sidecars
Sidecars are classified by capacity into Period 1 Production Based 750cc, Period 2 Multi's and Specials 750cc and Period 3 Open Class up to 1300cc

Post Classic Clubman 

Post Classic Clubman
Machines up to 500cc raced in the period using production- based engines fitted in either race-specific chassis or production chassis not qualifying for Grand Prix. Unrelated engine and chassis combinations are not permitted.

Thoroughbred racing machines built for Grand Prix , TT and certain Short Circuit racing. Post Classic 1 - 1972 to 1981* (1967 on for 2-strokes) Post Classic 2 - 1982 to 1986 *some later cut-offs apply. 

Post Classic Superbike 

Post Classic Superbike
Machines 501cc and above built for racing and of a type raced during the post-classic period using as a basis engines not qualifying for Grand Prix together with non-Production machines. 

Post Classic Production 

Post Classic Production
Production road and sports motorcycles of a type used for production racing in the classic period, not having a frame and engine from different manufacturers
