Welcome to the

Classic Racing Motorcycle Club

Racing motorcycles from a bygone era

The Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (also known as  CRMC) is dedicated to the preservation and use of   postwar racing and sports machines.   Close racing, full grids and friendly race paddocks  at the best racing circuits throughout the UK -  CRMC race weekends offer riders, officials and  spectators a memorable taste of racing from a  golden bygone era.

CRMC and the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Trust

At the 2012 AGM it was announced that the CRMC was adopting this charity and would be carrying out some fund raising activities from time to time. Colin Seeley is the designer and builder of the Seeley chassis which has become so popular with Classic racers that Seeley bikes are the most numerous make of classic bike registered with the CRMC. Colin Seeley was genuinely overwhelmed by the news that the fantastically generous CRMC members raised an incredible £727 for the Joan Seeley Charity at the CRMC Dinner Dance. We will be seeing Colin out on track parading a BMW sidecar at our Donington Park Classic Motorcycle Festival in August. Click here to go to the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Memorial Trust website

The CRMC and Donington Park are gearing up for the second Classic Motorcycle Festival , on 8th, 9th and 10th August. Following on from last year’s phenomenal success the festival will showcase a huge range of motorcycles from across bike racing history, in addition to welcoming some all-star legends of the track. We have a fantastic array of GP bikes, Superbikes, two strokes, four strokes, multi cylinder and single cylinder. In addition, the event will welcome the new Hesketh 24 bike. The exclusive Hesketh 24, the first all-new Hesketh model to be produced in thirty years by the British manufacturer, will be taking part in both parade and demonstration laps throughout the Festival. See the latest list of bikes parading and on display CLICK HERE Kevin Schwantz is set to join in the celebrations at the circuit. Kevin has won a number of Grand Prix and Transatlantic Match races at Donington Park, so it will be great to see him back at a track he loves. Over the course of the weekend Kevin will be demonstrating a number of bikes, as well as holding an autograph session. There will also be ‘An evening with Kevin Schwantz’, due to take place on the Saturday evening. It has been 20 years since Kevin’s last win at the circuit, so in honour of this, Donington Park has teamed up with Team Classic Suzuki owner Steve Wheatman, to reunite Kevin with his favourite 1994 XR84 Lucky Strike Suzuki – no 1 plate. Steve Parrish, the former motorcycle and truck racer, is also confirmed to make an appearance at the Class Motorcycle Festival weekend. Steve now commentates on motorsport for various British media channels and is set to join Kevin Schwantz to host the Saturday night event at Donington Park.  Steve will play a commentary role throughout the weekend, and will also ride in the star parade on Sunday. Sammy Miller will be there with a selection of bikes from his world famous Museum, which will include a 500 GP Konig similar to the one successfully raced by Kim Newcombe. Team Collins and Russell Kawasaki are also attending for the first time, bringing their collection of historic racing machines, such as the ex-Hurley Wilvert Kawasaki H2R two stroke triple. Other special invited guests who’ll be making an appearance during the 3 day event include Graeme Crosby, Mick Grant and Maria Costello.

And of course, there will be lots of racing over

the weekend!

We will have over 40 CRMC Championship races, the Lansdowne Series races and the Wheatcroft Trophy race. There will be the Classic Bike Clubs Show and on Saturday, we will be treated to the rare appearance of a Lancaster Bomber as it takes to the skies at 12 noon.
